The Village Rep needs you. As we embark on our 23rd season, Village Rep is grateful to the friends, patrons and sponsors who have allowed us to bring you the very best comedy, music and drama for more than twenty years.
While we no longer have our home at Woolfe Street Playhouse, the Village Rep continues to be an example of the very best professional theatre the lowcountry has to offer. We continue to maintain our three large storage facilities that currently house all our props, flats, lumber, furniture and costumes. The work we do would not happen without a team of professional artists, actors, designers and technicians. We have continued to keep our ticket prices reasonable while the costs around us have skyrocketed.
If you value our committment to quality theatre arts in Charleston, please consider a gift this month, this quarter or this year. We simply can not do this without you!
Your tax deductible donation is needed to keep theatre alive.
A story of miscegenation in 1918 South Carolina. A portrayal of interracial love, forced to navigate the societal racism of laws and culture.
An engrossing new play by Lucas Hnath that uses the supernatural as a setting.
The Village Repertory Co. is a non profit professional theatre company, producing drama, comedy, and musicals with a special emphasis on the finest plays of the 20th Century. As the theatre company in residence at the Woolfe Street Playhouse, our aim is to bring lesser known classics and new works to life in a unique environment: The Village Rep creates theatre that breaks down the barriers between the performer and the audience. We create for our community, from within our community, working with Charleston's local ensemble of actors and artists.
